Define the contents before the artwork

Choose the exact model references, dimensions and finishes. Decide whether the customer will buy one candle, a multi-pack or a coordinated set. State battery inclusion and any accessories that belong in the sales unit.

Check the space needed for the product and protective packing. A shaped candle or taper-and-holder set requires a different layout from a compact tealight multi-pack.

Give the brand brief a practical structure

Supply the brand artwork, colour references and preferred packaging format. Include the target market and the product information that must appear on the pack. Keep model-specific functions separate from general brand messaging.

Ask for documentation relevant to the selected models and discuss destination-specific labelling needs. Avoid printing a runtime, outdoor rating or control feature before the corresponding specification has been agreed.

Review product and pack together

A pack approval should show both the design and the proposed contents. Check the model references, visible colour, battery information, set count and the position of any protective inserts.

Distinguish changes to an existing catalogue product from new development work. Confirm the sample charges, the items included in the sample and the approval stages before proceeding.

Confirm the final carton plan

Retail packaging affects outer carton quantities and volume. Request updated carton details after the pack layout is approved, especially when moving from individual pieces to a gift set.

The final buying record should connect the product sample, artwork version, pack contents and quotation. That gives both parties a clear reference for production and repeat orders.
